In a heartfelt expression of gratitude and spiritual renewal, Pastor Anyalebechi Nnunukwe chose the auspicious occasion of his Thanksgiving service for a successful tenure of office as defunct Port Harcourt Conference President to unveil his deeply moving and memoir, "Broken but Blessed”.

The high and the mighty gathered on March 25, 2024, at Seventh-day Adventist Church, Mile Three, Port Harcourt District, in an atmosphere charged with hope and reverence, with the coloration of an Adventist congregation, to celebrate the release of Pastor Nnunukwe's transformative literary work, which chronicles his journey from the depths of spiritual triumph to the heights of despair.

Pastor Nnunukwe in the book shared his personal journey of overcoming adversity and finding profound blessings amid brokenness. Through candid anecdotes and heartfelt reflections, he offered a raw and unfiltered account of his struggles, doubt, loss, and despair, triumphs, and unwavering faith in the face of adversity ultimately leading him to discover the power of God's grace and mercy.

In his Thanksgiving service sermon, Pastor Bassey E.O Udoh, President of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference, admonished Nigerians to be faithful to God and put their trust in Him. Quoting copiously from the scriptures, the cleric stressed the need for people to always appreciate God for divine protection and provision.

The UN peace ambassador complimented Pastor Nnunukwe on his book presentation and praised him for clinging firmly to God through trials and temptation.

“The obligation of successful people to write their stories, to share the histories of phenomena they have become, to instruct, to admonish, and to inspire, would change the world to a better society, He sermonized.

During the unveiling ceremony, the book reviewers dive into the experiences of selected Bible characters from the piece's eight chapters, demonstrating the author's harrowing experiences of loss, betrayal, and pain. And they both voiced a great preference for the manner of language, genres, and message contained in its pages, which they believe will be a source of solace and inspiration to the target public; they also encouraged everyone to pick up copies of "Broken but Blessed".

In a stirring testament the Chairman of the occasion, Elder Engr. Beniah Ojum, stated that Pastor Nnunukwe's message of resilience and faith has always been a source of strength for our community, and that "he has no doubt that the book 'Broken but Blessed' will continue to touch hearts and transform lives for years to come.

Elder Barr. Naboth Onyeso, while presenting the book highlighted the powerful themes explored in the book used the opportunity to praise the author's ingenuity. He also urged the Adventist church and others to obtain copies of the book, as he believed it would leave an indelible impression on everyone who dared to read its pages.

In a media interview with journalist shortly after the programme, Pastor Nnunukwe seized the opportunity to offer his own testimony of resilience and redemption. Through poignant anecdotes and reflective passages from Broken but Blessed, he illuminated the universal truths of human suffering and divine compassion, inspiring the readers unwavering commitment to hope and healing.

"I am humbled and grateful to share my story of brokenness and blessing with the large audience that turned up for me today. In the darkest moments of my life, God's light shines brightest, guiding my family toward a future filled with hope and purpose."

“From navigating the complexities of relationships to overcoming personal insecurities and doubts, the memoir resonates with readers on a deeply human level, offering solace and encouragement to those grappling with their own trials and tribulation, Pastor Nnunukwe expressed with deep emotion.

The ceremony was pomp and pageantry, one of the few times when current and former presidents of various fields converged in an event. The ceremony was also attended by respected elders of the church, and educators from all walks of life, amongst others; graced, supported and donated with strong affection to the author, whose deeds as the church's leader will be indelible in the sands of time.
