By Austin-Vicker

On February 18, 2024, the Youth Department of the Cross River Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, under the leadership of Master Guide C.J. Enemana, organized a Basic Staff Training Session for the youth ministry leaders of local churches within the conference.

This training, deemed highly important, was initiated in accordance with directives and plans from the Leaders of the Youth Department at the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists. Following a review of curriculums, study materials, and current social realities, it was decided that such training sessions should be conducted across all conferences.

Held at the Cross River Conference Headquarters, the training saw a positive turnout with over 21 staff members from various youth ministry clubs in attendance. Among the facilitators were Master Guide Ime Ukanga, Pastor Adam Bassey, MG. Prince Ekpenyong, MG. Akor Obo, MG. Austin-Vicker, Elder Carlton, and Comrade Possible Wole-Adewumi who handled lectures on the Pathfinder Ministries, Adventurer Ministries and Senior Youth Leadership Curriculum.

The session, which commenced in the morning, concluded at 4:30 pm with expressions of appreciation from the Cross River Conference Youth Director to his Associate Directors, Executives, and attendees. He also assured participants of certificates to be distributed at a later date.
