New leadership has emerged at the conclusion of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Port Harcourt Conference's third quadrennial constituency session, held from Thursday, November 23, to Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the headquarters, Rumoukwuta, Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The church delegates during the session, reviewed the stewardship reports, accomplishments, and mission highlights from the administration, various ministries, departments, etc., that were accomplished in Port Harcourt Conference over the four years, and voted on the various items and recommendations that were presented on the agenda.

Additionally, the Session voted to record and dissolve the nomenclature of Port Harcourt Conference following the presentation of the approval letter from the West Central Africa Division for the reorganization of the Port Harcourt Conference into Port Harcourt East (Conference) and West (Mission) at the year-end meeting held in Ikote-Ekpene, Akwa-Ibom, Nigeria.

Recall, that the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) Executive Committee had elected the officers of the Port Harcourt West mission during their year-end meeting held at Aba, Abia State on Tuesday, 21 November in accordance with the West Central Africa Division (WAD) policy directive.
