The President of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Eastern Nigeria Union Conference, Pastor Prof. Bassey E.O Udoh, has demanded for total and unhidden commitment from church members in Port Harcourt conference as the 52nd annual Camp meeting gets underway at Adventist Comprehensive High School Elele.
In his Good will messages to the teeming membership, tagged “BEING A WITNESS” the clergy expressed
that the annual Camp-meeting should be seen as an event emersed in spiritual
activities, a time for reflection and reinvigoration, a time for repentance and
conversion.
“ I encourage all
campers to see this camp meeting as a a time for revival and reformation, a
time for a new commitment, an improved and elevated commitment, a -next-level
commitment, a time for a special communion with Heaven, a time for praise and
thanksgiving.
While he is gleeful that regardless of the socio-scourge— the
Lord has been gracious to the church, and led members safely through many
mountains and valleys of challenges; reaffirmed the leadership commitment to the
Pentecost 2023 programmes, culminating in the centennial celebration of the
presence and existence of our church in the South-East and South-South Nigeria
(except Delta).
“As a church, God has
shown us mercy - mercy so bountiful that I cannot recapitulate. As I welcome
you to this Holy Convocation, I wish to reflame your attention in the Pentecost
2023 centenary vision and The Festival of Baptism scheduled for January 23,
2023 which demands your commitment.
The 52nd edition of the Camp-meeting programme with the Theme: "I WILL GO, BE HIS WITNESS" gather thousands of God's folks across 33 Districts and Groups in Port Harcourt Conference with the sole aim of thanking God for his mercies and abundant grace throughout the year.
In a chat with A-media PHC, the Port
Harcourt Conference President, Pastor, Dr. Anyalebechi Nnunukwe express
that the Four days programme is part of the Revival and Reformation initiative
of the World church to help members congregate and spiritually reason together
in line with the three Angels message of revelation. He also encouraged members
to be part of this year-end divine rendezvous.
The
1st phase of Port Harcourt Conference
Camp meeting start on Wednesday 9-13 November, 2022. And will feature amazing
exhibitions from the following districts and groups; Port
Harcourt, Choba, Rumuepirikom, Rumuolumeni, Okehi, Rumuekini, Isiokpo, Eneka,
Igboh, Egwi Group, Eberi, Akpoku etc.
