MAMA ABBEY CELEBRATES 70TH BIRTHDAY IN ECSTATIC FASHION

Friends, family members, colleagues and well-wishers gathered at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Nchia Eleme, Eleme Local Government in Rivers State to celebrate the goodness of God in the life of Deaconess Susan Osilaedee Abbey (Nee Nwafor) as she joined the septuagenarian club in grand style.

The fame erstwhile Adventist Women Director of defunct Rivers Conference and prayer warrior was born in 1^st October, 1952 to the family of Pa Philemon Osaronwoke Nwafor and Madam Christiana Okwiamba Nwafor (Nee Egweji) in Eleme, Rivers State, Nigeria. Mama got married to Late Elder Simeon Akara Abbey and the union was blessed nine Children (6 males and 3 females). Though, Mama lost 3 male children, the 6 survivors have truly been a blessings to her and they beget 18 Grand-Children.

The well attended event was an admixture of testimonies, songs, thanksgivings and outright wining and dining.

 

In his message, the Guest Preacher, Pastor, Prof. Bassey E.O Udoh, praised the outstanding virtues of the celebrant, and prayed she continues to serve in the vineyard of the Lord.

 

With the thanksgiving service over, guests moved to the Arena, within the church premises, for a classy one-in-town reception and were treated to the best of food, drinks and music.

 

Fondly called Authentic Mother, the very agile woman, who defied age to dance her heart out in happiness, was full of gratitude to God, her children and friends alike for the opportunity to celebrate such a glorious event. Mama who is a lover of good music is often referred to as mother of all, given the fact that other children have gone through her home and are doing well today.

To her children, she is a caring mother, and to other congregants from all walks of life who grace the ceremony—she is a prayer warrior of note who trusted God in all she does.
