The
President of Port Harcourt conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church,
Pastor Anyalebechi Nnunukwe has
urged
church members of Strong Tower to consciously obey Jesus and abide by his
teachings and instructions. This exhortation was made on Saturday 29th
May 2021 when he visited Strong tower Branch sabbath school of Port Harcourt
Conference during their cultural and women emphasis sabbath.Pastor Anyalebechi Nnunukwe
The Cleric’s
sermon at the divine service christened, “To
whom shall we go” took a historical narrative of the earthly ministry of
Jesus as recorded in (John 6:66-71).
“A time came in the Ministry of Jesus, the Bible said, many of his disciples went away. They refused to follow
him, many went away”.
He
emphasized that the question of obeying and standing faithfully with God is a
cardinal decision in the life of every believer.
“This is the question that all believers are faced it.
Will you continue in the faith no matter the circumstance and situation that
will come our way, will you still stand with Jesus”
“Sometimes we misunderstand his will, will you still stand
and remain faithful to him. It is not a matter of how fast or how far but how
well we shall end the race.
Pastor
Nnunukwe iterated according to Matthew 7:21 that “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.”
“God cares less on the quantity of those who worships him
but look out for the quality who fervently calls upon his name.
The Conference
President concluded his homily by thanking the leadership of the Strong Tower
Church for the great work in reshaping the worship style of the church. He
however encouraged them to be steadfast in the values of the Adventist church,
which is a prerequisite if the church must be organized.
