WE LIVE NOT TO EAT BUT EAT TO LIVE: POWERFUL PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGES TO SEVENTH - DAY ADVENTIST MEMBERS.

As the year 2019 comes to a close, springing forth a new decade beginning with year 2020, two prodigious leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC)  has deem it expedient to express their heart felt gratitude to God Almighty for his goodness and great leadership of the church all through the last decade and also pronounced divine blessings to the entire membership of the church.

We are another bible…
Pastor B.E.O Udoh (P.hd), the President of Eastern Nigerian Union Conference (ENUC), in his New Year speech has called on members to fight the good fight and keep the faith.

The preacher man expressed that the life we live, is the life of battle: battle against the physical, powers and principality. And to him the good fight is to allow God the hope of Glory dwell in us and he will fight for us.

He expressed disappointment that many members have baptismal vows but not many hold on to the tenents of the word.

“My prayer is that members will stand tall, very tall in the things we believe. Character in what we teach will make us unique. Let us be what we teach and not just for teaching sake.

“The assurance of salvation is that whatever we do here on earth, let heaven be our goal, let’s be sure we will be in heaven at last.

In his new year wishes to members, the legendary clergyman in his erudite understanding that a blessed member is a pillar of support to the growth of the evangelical work, happily prophesied numerous blessings to all church members.

“ 2020, I see 2020 a year of great fruit and I wish many of our members who are unemployed— that the Lord will set before them open doors that no power can close.

“I wish all my members well, that they prosper not just spiritually and  physically but also in good health.
Emphasizing on the New Year theme “Faithfulness in Christian Life style” Pastor Udoh counselled that members should be courteous of their health and heedful of what they eat.

His greatest wish is that those who cannot read the scriptures can practice what they see in the lives of members through our exemplary Christian life styles.

A year of Exploits…
Meanwhile,  the President of Port Harcourt Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church Pastor Anyalebechi Nnunukwe has called on members not to be troubled but to believe in God.

“I want in a special way to welcome our members to the year 2020 and my words for them is same with what Christ said to the disciples; let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Jesus, the son of God. That’s his promise.

“That’s the greatest and the ultimate of the promises of God. As a church we need to get prepared.

In his new year felicitation, the energetic ecclesiastical administrator avows that the members should seek first Gods kingdom and its righteousness.

“I want to encourage our members that this year, they should seek first the kingdom of God and  its righteousness and all other things he shall give us. If he can give us his son, what else can he not give us?

“We don’t need to be desperate; all we need is to trust him. He will give us the best.

“This year 2020 will be a year of great exploit for us. God will use us to achieve great strides only if we seek his kingdom first.
