BE PROACTIVE, INTENTIONAL AND PRACTICAL; PASTOR UDOH CHARGES STAKEHOLDERS IN PORT HARCOURT CONFERENCE

By Ekpor Temple

Yesterday, September 24, 2023, the Port Harcourt Conference administration held a significant stakeholder meeting at Rumuokwuta. The timed meeting was conveyed in order to boost church preparedness for the historic Hope Channel International Evangelism and to batten the publicity surrounding it.

Pastor, Prof. Bassey Udoh, the President of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC), who was physically present at the meeting, presented an update on the effort and meetings held. He also urged the clergy, laypeople, and teeming members to brace themselves for the task at hand.

All parties involved were tasked by the clergy to set a positive example for others to follow by being intentional, proactive, and practical in their approach to this Hope Channel evangelism.

“Pastors, Evangelism will fail if you don’t show leadership, let us make this evangelism a reaping. Organize revivals, Bible study and spirit-filled programmes that will bring our invited friends closer to Jesus.

“God convinced us to bring evangelism to River’s state, please don't make us regret our actions. This is the first time, the Hope Channel crew from Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Babcock etc, will all converge in a place to cover evangelism. He avers.

Similarly, Pastor Dr. Anyalebechi Nnunukwe, the host Conference's President, impelled the members to view this endeavor as one that would not only bring about heavenly joy but also change and transform their lives spiritually.

Some of the resource people who addressed other important aspects of evangelism are Pastor Ahuama-Levi Dobson (President of the Aba East Conference), Pastor Solomon Okonu, Pastor Uzoma Nwosi, Eld. Azukoye Amadi, Eld. Victor Ahuama, Mr. Ekpor Temple, and others.

The interactive session was then guided by Pastor Samuel Irulor.

Like the prophet Isaiah asked “Whom shall I send”, we all must be ready to answer this call, as we may not live to tell the story of another centenary year.
