AAMPS RETREAT: PORT HARCOURT CONFERENCE INAUGURATES OVER 60 MEDIA PROFESSIONALS

Pastor Nnunukwe Inaugurates AAMPS Rivers Chapter

By Evans Adindu

In what could be described as an extraordinary feat, Seventh-day Adventist church in Port Harcourt Conference through her communication and Media ministry's department has Inaugurated over 60 Media Professionals into the Association of Adventist Media Professionals and Scholars, AAMPS. The inauguration is the first time ever where the church is having an enlarged association of her Media personnel in Nigeria.

In his sermon shortly before the inauguration, President of Port Harcourt Conference, Pastor Anyalebechi Nnunnukwe highlighted on the need for members of the association to be at the forefront of raising the Banner of Christianity high especially, in an age where many Christian denominations have sidelined the Bible.

He Said members can only lift Jesus up by proclaiming the truth of righteousness and by working like Him. He also avered that the fulfillment of the three Angels messages of Revelation 14 is the evolution of ICT.

"The church can only raise the banner high through ICT only when we study the Bible which is the sword of the spirit daily. We raise the banner high through constant prayers too.

“We must raise the banner high in witnessing and the Holy Spirit must be part of us to achieve success. In unity and love, we must raise the banner high with Prince Emmanuel", said the cleric.

In his remarks, Communication Director of the conference, Mr. Ekpor Temple said the mission statement of the association is building bridges of hope, with the mission of presenting a favourable image of the church, its mission, Its life and activities as well as to assist the church in being an effective witness of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
