It was an awe-inspirng and stupendous atmosphere at the just concluded Communication Department maiden media Retreat held at Seventh-day Adventist Church Rumuokwuta with the Theme, Raise the Banner High.

Some participants who were thrilled with amazing discoveries and thought provoking lectures expressed gratitude and appreciation to the organisers of the retreat.

Speaking with Adventist Media one of the participants Dr Margaret Solo-Anaeto who is a Media Expert and lecturer at Babcock University expressed her joy in being part of the maiden retreat of Port Harcourt Conference Communication Department.

“The best way to describe my experience is simple, the programme is as interesting and mind blowing.

The media Icon who doubles as the Editor of Babcock University press could not hide her joy as she was filled with smiles and could be visibly seen giggling while speaking with Adventist Media PHC.

“It is my desire to replicate same feat at Babcock University when I get back home, She opined.

Other participants who spoke with Adventist Media about the retreat preached that their expectations has been surpassed as they were not expecting such level of professionalism and perfection.

Another participant Victory Ubong who was part of the Branding and Graphic Design session expressed joy in her new found knowledge as she has been able to learn amazing things at the ongoing retreat amongst which are;

“Before now, I know nothing about the principles of design, Colour Selection guidelines, principle of balance and lots more.

“I am however, looking forward to using the skills I have learnt in this media certification course to help my church, and make earns meet with it in various other ways.

Most engaging is the fact that delegates had a wonderful experience at the feet of the master and most of them look forward to using their new found knowledge in making disciples for the lord and Building Bridges of Hope in a world that seem hopeless; little wonder why the vision of the communication department in Port Harcourt Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church has been to build a Bridge of hope for all of God's wonderful creation.

It is imperative to know that some of delegates who were part of the programme  came down to Port Harcourt from different parts of the country for the topnotch cum historic retreat.
