Cross Section of Adventist Corps members at Ibeno Beach |
The rays of light visible at Seventh-day Adventist Church and
its Neighborhood at Eket, Akwa-Ibom State from 17-20th March is a remarkable
testimony of God’s leadership of the Association of Adventist Corps Members in Eastern
Nigeria Union Conference.
Though the 4th Edition had a blend of mission-driven lectures, Syndicate groups interactions, funfair, and recreational
activities, the two non- Adventist friends that showed interest to join the Adventist
faith were the hallmark of the retreat.
Life-changing Experiences
The Climax of the programme saw corps members drive down to Ibeno
beach, Akwa-Ibom to have a playtime with nature, the Atlantic Breeze that
cooled them off from the stress they are used to in their Places of Primary Assignment
will forever outlive them. Mostly for those who are not accustomed to adventures
like such.
Meanwhile, the Sabbath Worship can be defined as memorable as
it was clouded with a classic display of events. The Programme saw the
Adventist youth Ministries add the
serving NAAC members commemorate the 2022 Global Youth Day with this year’s theme:
“Loving the Forgotten”.
After the days' homily, well-delivered by Eld. (Dr.) Uche
Nwadike, the guest speaker, who coined his message from the book of Matthew
25:6-9, there was room for a visitation to the Nigeria Correction center, Eket
to remember the forgotten in Love, all in the mood of the Global youth day
celebration.
The President of Akwa-Ibom Conference, Pastor A.J Umoh who
spoke with NAAC Press was full of praise for NAAC’s relentless zeal and the
missionary strides recorded in the country.
Reactions from Corps delegates showed how impressed they are
and some gladly expressed their feelings and hope for next year's retreat.
I was there and believe me Adventist corp members are truly touching lives. More Grace to NAAC. NAAC to the world. More Grace sir.
