The first group Camp meeting in Port Harcourt Conference has come and gone with enthralling testimonies to share. For once, members had wished the camp should be lengthened owing to the spiritual aura, engaging interactions and heart lifting praises from the choirs.
The Eastern
Nigeria Union Conference Evangelism/Global Mission/Sabbath School/Publishing
Director etc. Pastor Uzoma Nwosi who coronated the worship during the divine
hour threw a solemn question to the congregation, “when was the last time
you cried”?
The clergy in his sermon expounded that times are challenging
and difficult. A time when social scourge is on increase, death looms on minute
basis; but only Jesus Christ can restore peace to this dying world.
While he exemplified how Abraham, the Israelites and Jesus
Christ wept in the scripture, He encourage members that no matter their ordeals
and uneasiness, God will wipe away tears from their eyes.
“In every challenge you face in life please do not give up,
stand on the written word of God and never you join the world.
“You are going through difficulties in life because you
choose to serve God, God will never disappoint you.
At the end of the sermon, convicted hearts were touched and they gave their lives to Jesus through baptism.
Meanwhile, 15 Districts will be gearing up for the second
phase of the conference Camp Meeting scheduled for 22 – 26 December 2021.
