Cross Section of Some Couple during Physical Exercise |
Seventh-Day Adventist Church Mgbouba, Rumuepirikom District
climaxed her three days memorable Couples' Retreat held from 25-28 November
2021 at Tiffany Hotels and Towers, Omagwa Port Harcourt.
Themed: I will Go: Growing
the Home together in God, the retreat was inspired to create an atmosphere where couples can rediscover
themselves, address unique and entrenched challenges of families as well as
foster ways to enhance and or integrate our families to be effective in mission
work.
In some of the highlights, the Port Harcourt Conference President, Pastor Anyalebechi Nnunukwe in a reflection encouraged couples to get re-acquainted. Dr. Mrs. Uche in her lecture titled Effective Communication enlightened delegates on fundamentals of communication skills that will improve the lifestyles of couples. Pastor Richard U. Woke, ENUC Family Ministries Director, examined the necessity of family budgets, and the need to be good stewards. While Eld. (Prof )N.H.A Nwafor had an all-inclusive discourse on Conflict Resolution in Marriage.
Moreso, Pastor Uzoma Nwosi in his homily on the role of the Holy Spirit in our homes stressed that only the presence of the Holy Spirit can empower our families to do greater evangelical/Missionary works for Christ, hence the need to build our homes for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Further inquest shows that the couples were well fed with resplendent meal and had engaging physical health exercise.
Though the programme ended in grand style, there are lots of questions still begging for answers.
