EXCEL BALLERS WALLOPED TREASURE FM TO QUALIFY FOR SEMI-FINAL'S

Excel Ballers survived a first half scare to see off Treasure FM 4-1 at Sharks stadium on Tuesday Evening.

The Match of the day lived up to hype as Treasure FM (Defending Champion) threw away their chances of qualifying to the Semi-Final with a 4-1 white washing in the hands of the energetic lads from the No: 1 Campus Radio in the Garden City ( Excel FM).

The Defending Champions utilized an early mistake from The Ballers Defenders and took the lead on the First Half before Sammy Sobere of Excel FM restored Parity few minutes to the blast of the Whistle for Half time.

Predictably, Excel Ballers Dominated the game with their Wonderful Style of Tikitaka football, much to the admiration of the Spectators who have started trooping in to watch their favorite Sport Anchors#PLAYTHETALK.

A return to the 2nd half of the Game saw Treasure FM mounting some pressure but the Defensive ability of the Ballers subdue with excellent saves from the Goal keeper. The Ballers in their Crafty display were tactically alert defending and attacking at the same pace.

A brace from Owo Ernesto (The Captain of the Ballers ) and a wonderful strike from Prince Ovundah helped Excel FM pummeled The defending Champions 3goals to conclude proceedings in the second half.

Tactically, the Ballers were outstanding even when playing at the tail end of the Game with Four men no thanks to a Red Card issued by the Referee to the Ballers Top Defender Dapa. And quickly, that saw the Emergence of the Defensive Strategist Ekpor Temple who was welcomes into the field of play via Fans Ovation after Hand Injury had ruled him out in the prevoous game.

Man-of-the-match Ernesto,  (the Captain of the Ballers) said "I am very proud of the effort of our players, and their quick response to scoring back when we are down uplifted our Morale. Treasure FM The Defending Champion are always a very hard team to play, and I think my players today deserved recognition for being resilient through out the game"

Double O (The coach of the Treasure FM side ), Congratulated the Ballers for their excellent form in the tournament so far, and conspicuously tip them favourite to lift this year Trophy come December 12th.

"Three  games, 3 victories, 12 Goals with one Goal Conceded so far, already qualified for the semifinals and with 3 of their players striving for the Highest goal Scorers and MVP of the Tournament, one just but imagine that the Best is yet to be seen from the Excel FM Side  Whose motivation is drawn for the Moral, and all round support by their Head of Station ( Sir Paul).


What's next?
Excel FM on Thursday 6th December, will  square pegged with NTA, while Wave FM will hope to pick their first point (Pour Sand for their Garri) against the CoolWazobiaInfo Side when they rumble same day in their last group A Match, while treasure FM whose destiny are no longer in their hands  will be Praying for an upset against CoolwazobiaInfo FM if they must be hopeful of crawling out from the group.
