On September 7,
2024, during Sabbath worship at the Seventh-day Adventist Church's Conference
Headquarters in Cross River, the Executive Committee, led by the Conference
President, Pastor Edy Ewoh, launched the West-Central Africa Division (WAD)
Impact 2025 project.
The worship atmosphere was charged with expectation as members from all districts gathered for what has been described as a transformative mission initiative. The launch of WAD Impact 2025 marks another moment for the Conference to expanding her with its overarching goal of evangelistic outreach and reinforcing spiritual growth.
The President outlined
the project's goals and strategies for accomplishing God's mission in 2025,
encouraging members to participate in God's missions and share the blessed hope
of Christ's coming.
"This project is a call for every one of us to
rise and fulfill our duty in spreading the message of Christ’s soon return. The
time to act is now," Pastor Ewoh
said.
The West-Central Africa Division’s Impact 2025 project aims to mobilize churches, members, and leaders to actively engage in evangelism, health outreach, educational support, and humanitarian services across their respective communities. The project aligns with the global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, focusing on nurturing relationships and fostering sustainable community development.
Pastor Bassey M.
Adam, the Executive Secretary, presented the activities of WAD IMPACT 2025 and
the goals for each District. He emphasized the need for Total Membership
Involvement (TMI), announcing that the Impact project would focus on
evangelistic outreaches, making use of the Small Group and membership
retention.
"This is not just another program; it is a movement that requires all hands on deck. Let’s join in this mission of reaching out and retaining souls for the kingdom," he stated.
PastorAdam highlighted some key aspects of the project, including collaborative efforts between local congregations and various departments within the church to ensure that every aspect of the community is touched. From offering free medical care and food distribution to supporting youth education and promoting environmental sustainability, the project’s initiatives are wide-ranging and inclusive.
Following the
sensitization and exhortation, the WAD Impact 2025 Committee for Cross River
Conference was inaugurated.
In response,
Pastor Victor Odor, Calabar District Pastor, expressed gratitude for the visit
and pledged partnership with the Conference leadership to achieve the Impact
project's goals. He also urged members to commit to serving God for the
salvation of mankind.
