OPERATION STORM THE CITY: ADVENTIST WOMEN’S MINISTRY, PORT HARCOURT ZONE, EMBARKS ON LITERATURE EVANGELISM.

Pastor Woke Richard and PH AWM Exco

We are in a very delicate period in earth's history, when mankind is in dear need of the saviour – Jesus Christ, to come salvage us, less we all perish. Bearing this in mind, the Adventist Women Ministry (AWM) of Port Harcourt Zone in Port Harcourt Conference on the 15th of August embarked on “Operation storm Port Harcourt” an outreach programme designed to spread the gospel through literature evangelism.

In an exclusive interaction with Adventist Media PHC, the Zonal Women's Leader, Mrs. Uche Nweke stated that the intention of the programme is to reach-out to friends in our society through door to door literature evangelism. She also reiterated how Adventist women in the zone will make truth available to everyone, through printed pages and their desire to conquer the city through literature evangelism.

“The AWM, Port Harcourt zone, amidst the covid-19, decided to bring together some of the tract, magazines and books for the evangelism.

“Our plan is to spread out, and to win souls for Christ. In each of the tracts, we have our pastors contacts attached should our friends have questions, counselling or feedback, Mrs Nweke said.

Understanding the devastating mayhem caused by the outbreak of coronavirus, the women felt it is an opportunity to leverage upon to spread the gospel message to those whom God has design to know him. Mrs. Nweke also explicated that the Women's Ministry in Port Harcourt zone has spent and invested huge sum of money in executing this year’s evangelical programme.

“We’ve spent well over two Hundred thousand and we thank Pastor Uzoma Nwosi, the Eastern Nigeria Union Publishing director, for providing us with cartoons of Great Hope books. Truly, the books are expensive and we had to print two thousand tracts to add to it.”

“It is true that there’s a decline in reading culture in our society, which has prompted us to produce colourful magazines that can easily be scanned through within hours,” she finally said.

Some of the literary materials the women plan to distribute include: Great Hope, Daniel and Revelation, Amazing Health Fact, spiritual enriching magazines, etc.
