LIFE AFTER SCHOOL: "The positive vicissitude"

BY ERNEST OWO

I choose to pick my pen and paper to write this because I felt what we need right now is just words that will assure us that after our completion of this academic degree, we are on a positive transition.

While all graduates in today’s Western Society celebrate the completion of school, the big question “what’s next?” lingers above them. This pending change and the unknown can create concern and negative outcomes for undecided adolescents, impacting their overall wellbeing.

While globally mental disorders are rising, studies have found that as many as 20% of youth will experience an episode of major depression before they finish school.

Today, it is evident that while choice is a privilege – it can also be a burden. The very real first-world problem of making a decision after school, from the endless amount of options out there, can be stifling. The need for practical tools to support these graduates in making their decision is in high demand.

As you decide on what to do after school, try to be positive. Give yourself some hope, that it will be better and God will accomplish it.

Decide how you want your future to look like, Nobody will do it for you.

My own decision is "MY LIFE AFTER SCHOOL WILL BE GREAT"
WHAT ABOUT YOU???
