TRUE LIFE STORIES THAT TOUCH THE HEART  search SEP 23 IS IT OKAY TO CHOOSE YOUR SPOUSE' FRIENDS? We have been married for four years now and to the glory of God, we have a set of twins to show for it. My wife is a kind of woman that everyone will like to be with, you will feel alive around her, she's jovial, so with this, she has good number of friends. Recently my wife now makes uncalled demands, unlike her before, she compares me with her friend's hubby, her friend's hubby bought this for her, that the cloth she wore the other day is so so amount. Her hubby took her to Paris for holidays, she nowadays don't appreciate things I do for her, not openly though but the signs are there. I earn well, I mean okay to keep my family up and running, but for luxury, it wont work. She knows our total income, but now she's more focused on how she wants her friends to see her, the Camry LE 2012 Model I bought for her last year has become too old for her to use, I kept wondering if it's her friends that are influencing her or she's just punishing me intentionally. My Wife is faithful woman that I am sure. Now should I control the friends she keeps? Should I be the one to determine her friends? I have tried to figure who these her friends are, all I could get is "..a friend" or "... One of my Friends" they are just nameless and faceless, some visit once in a while if they are going for outing, I get to hear or know their presence with uncontrolled calls almost every 30mins interval. Please, is it right to choose friend for your hubby or wife? Is it mandatory to know all your spouse' friends? Social Network is keeping her company that her primary assignments at home are left undone. I leave house between 5am and 6am daily, come back by 9pm and above. I have little time to spend at home, I always wanna make it worthwhile, she goes to work too and comes back by 4pm. But anytime I am back from work, she will focus on her phone that sometimes she forget that I need to eat, she will even sometimes wait for me to come back by tha late hours before preparing dinner (That is not a problem though), but she wont concentrate on what she's doing cos she will be cooking and chatting, the food will either get burnt or something will happen. The time we are supposed to spend and gist, she will be glued with her phone chatting. I wonder who she's chatting with that is taking much of her time when her hubby is around. I have no reason pokenosing into her phone, but she's using it to inconvinience me making me feel like a stranger in my house. I will rush home after work to meet my darling wife, but her attention will be channelled to her phone. I have adviced her, cautioned her, shouted, got angry, but to no avail. Siezing her phone to me seems to be over authoritative to one's wife or over reaction, please help me, how can I control this social network madness in my home. Please I need advice from married men and women, if your spouse is more focused to his/her phone than u, what will you do? Will you be happy over it? This I have fought for these 3years without letting my fiancee know about it to avoid bringing quarel b/w sisters. They are three in the family, two gals and a boy who is 11yrs old, My fiancee is 27, while the younger sister is 25, The younger sister has always been wearing provocative clothes around me, visiting my house at odd hours, she pretends a lot that her sister couldnt notice anything. Last week, I didnt know how it happened, she kissed me, I allowed the kiss to last for about 20 seconds and pushed her away, warned her never to come to my house unless the elder sister is around, it takes grace to withstand a desperate lady. She said she loves me, that her sister didnt love me, I laughed over it, thank her anyway and asked her to go, almost wanted to push her out, she said she will go, but I should just clear her with these few questions, I said what questions, she asked if couples are bound to keep secrets from each other? I said it's not ideal, she said if her sister loves me as she claims, why is she keeping secret from me, I asked what secret, she said it's not her business but I should ask her who the mother of Tony (their younger Brother) is, my eyes went wide, I asked her what kinda play is that, she said that I can ask her sister and get back to her with the answer I will get. Why this extreem I asked her, she left and closed the door behind. I am kinda confused, does that mean that my fiancee is the mother of Tony that I know is their younger brother? He's 11yrs, that sounds possible, but she hasnt told me, she only told me about her past relationship that lasted only 8months, why didnt she tell me about the child? Should I ask her? What if it's true, should I go ahead with the wedding? It's a male child, but does it matter the sex the child is? What if I were the one that has a child outside, will she be able to go ahead with the wedding if she finds out this way? How can my hubby even think of calling him his best friend, I cant believe this, but my hubby trusted him. I slapped her, it was a damn mistake, she was hitting me hard that she didnt want me to sleep, I just wanted to hold her from hitting me, I just didnt know how it happened, my back hand landed on her face, I was shocked, likewise her, I couldnt hold it seeing the tears roll down her cheek, I held her tight for apology, she pushed me off, went to the sitting room still crying, at this point, it's not who started it or who caused the problem counts, it's not how many times she has been hitting me counts, damn it, it was 1am in the night, I needed to sleep but she refused that we must settle an issue, though we tried talking it out but it was resulting to arguement, that I decided to avoide it by sleeping off, but she refused and started hitting me on the back that I am not going to sleep. One thing is true, my hubby goes to work by 6am and comes back by 9pm,with that, he wont even have much time to spend at home with the visitor, yet my mind isnt that settled. What should I do? I didn’t know the amount and never bothered to ask, I don’t look into his money, I am totally independent. In the evening of that day, I got an alert of 380million naira credited to my account, I asked him, he said yes, that’s the money he was expecting. He was processing two visas for him and I to the State, and the money as he said is for us to establish there. Two days later, he quickly wired the money out of my account for safe keeping as he said. Two days remaining for our trip, I was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes commission (EFCC), my boyfriend escaped. All attempts to reach him was abortive, probably he later travelled out. I was sentenced to 5years imprisonment. Two months in my jail term, a lawyer appeared, saying he’s interested in my case, the case lasted for 8 months, the lawyer succeeded in winning the case. All through the 10months+ I was in jail, James my boyfriend never showed up, no communication, nobody knew his where about. On the day I was bailed, the God sent lawyer decided to drive me home, I was happy all through in the car but on getting home, the story changed, I couldn’t believe my eyes, my parents were just standing there watching the whole scene, the Lawyer came down first, he hugged him…. Did I say He hugged HIM? Yesterday, I got her call that she was posted to Lagos for her service, that she has no where to stay after the camp, and no one she could trust in Lagos for accommodation, she is requesting coming to stay with us for her service time, I was speechless, I told her I was going to get back to her. But today's blog post will be a teaching lesson for men in UNDERSTANDING when your woman is going through something called PMS ( Premenstrual syndrome) or PMDD ( Premenstrual dysphoric disorder) which is a more severe case of PMS. They haven't found the cause for PMS just yet, but it is speculated that , it stems from hormone changes close to a woman's time of the month. Some of the symptoms that affect women during this time are irritability, confusion, forgetfulness, headaches, breast tenderness, bloating, food cravings, clumsiness, fatigue, feeling sad, slow movements, anxiety, loss of sex drive, mood swings and a few other things.Some people think, oh its just all in your head,NO its not, when you start getting physical symptoms at a particular time of the month, you know its not all in your head. It usually starts 2 weeks before your time of the month,all of a sudden you just feel extra emotional. I don't even think some women have even ever heard of PMS, but its something that's real, people just happened to put a name to it. Some men don't know how to react to their women at this time of the month, it can be extremely frustrating to deal with at times and its frustrating for the women too. There are medications that can be taken for these, as well as natural ways to help, like exercise, having a balanced diet, incorporating more fruits into your diet. I met my fiancee 2yrs ago, I reside in Lagos State, she is from the Yoruba tribe while I am an Igbo, she was bred in the east, she can speak Igbo very well, she likes communicating to me with Igbo language, I speak English fluently cos speaking my language makes me stammer, in order to avoid stammering, I subscribed to communicating with English, this is what my Dad thought me as a child cos I was a strong stammerer, but with me using English as my means of communicating, u can hardly detect that I stammer, apart from when I am angry, which I chose to remain quiet anytime I am angry. Since I met her, I noticed she likes using Igbo to communicate to me, I took it as she wants to show me that she belongs to me, but communicates with others that understands Yoruba with Yoruba,her English accent is superb,so no doubt, she can communicate well in English. But outside her knowledge, I speak and understand Yoruba language very well, this I hid from her with no -ve motive, I recently found out that she is having other affairs, not just one, she answers their calls in my presence, talks naughty words with them, book appointment with them but in yoruba language, after d call, she will tell me one story that touch the heart about the caller, I will pretend I didn't notice. Due to the passed experiences i had with my cousin's husband wanting to sleep with me , i decided that nothing will make me to ever sleep over in any of my married female relations or even visit regularly banned Sometime last year i was posted to serve (NYSC) in Abuja,luckily i have a male cousin married and living with his family in Abuja.
