The election draws near, and I ask Who will they deceive this time?
Do you Remember 2015 election ? Have u forgotten so soon, the death toll in our communities? When gullible and brainwashed youths are empowered with arms of Modern Warfare instead of skills acquisition and human capacity development what do you expect the long-term results to be? When the number of arms in the custody of unauthorized persons are more sophisticated and outnumbers the ones in the custody of security agents what do you expect? When the political class...and our political representatives at all tiers of government are not harassed, not confronted nor killed by the guns what do you expect?
When those who empowered our brothers and sisters with arms no longer return home to take back the guns in exchange of education and other positive empowerment what do you expect? When security operations have been compromised by one oga at the top say leave am na my Boy.. What do you expect? Gone are the innocent days when children ran helther skelter with skeletal wheels from a bicycle or motorcycle cheering at the top of their voices... Gone are those days when nearly hundreds of cock and cockerels in our villages and towns competed to crow us up from our beds in the morning... Gone are those days when we left our Doors and windows open to steal fresh air while we sleep happily at nights...
Gone are the days when we stayed out late by those haggard looking beer palours by the street and road sides arguing about football or politics at d top of our voices while wetting our cracked and thirsty throats with several bottles of lager, isi-evu et AL freely and happily... Gone are those days when we feared our juju shrines/priests and church houses/priests that we think of no evil amongst us... Gone are those days when our churches and shrines are left open all day....ooh!!! What has bedevilled and befallen us... Where are the gods of our ancestors? Amadioha, ubochi, egbaa, okpuu, oyinaa, fenigbese, egbesu, ET Al why have you all gone to sleep while our communities are desecrated.... Jehovah Elohim, Allah hu Akbar where are you?
The land stink of blood... Stink of anger.... Agony and fear envelopes our horizons... Where do we stand.... What is the future gonna be like... They will flee with their loved ones to the cities and abroad... While we scamper to the sound of ak47s and gpmgs... Where are those whom we entrusted to represent us in the comity of ethnic nationalities.... Who will save our souls and our lands.... I smell more blood.. Smells so strong it's choking me to death... Who will save our land??? Some would say after all na whu I hep... But unto thee I grant!!!
This was our solemn cry after 2015.
Friends as 2019 draws closer, we youths can Change the clock by being vigilant, and standing firm to defend our Votes... We Nigeria Youths are Nt lazy as many deemed us fit. We shall surprise them. Get ur PVC and have a huge say
